Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Release Window Confirmed
The first season of Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to premiere on March 4th, but it has already been renewed for a second season. Following a time jump from the character's 2015 Netflix series, the Disney+ series reunites beloved actors Vincent D'Onofrio and Charlie Cox as Daredevil and Kingpin. Wilson Bethel, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Ayelet Zurer, and Jon Bernthal are among the other returning actors.
Brad Winderbaum, executive producer of Daredevil: Born Again and Head of Streaming at Marvel Studios, recently spoke with Liam Crowley of Screen Rant about the upcoming sophomore season of the show. Winderbaum claims that shortly after season 1 concludes, the Devil of Hell's Kitchen will return to television:
Brad Winderbaum: That is the plan. Season 2 will come out next year, and then hopefully season 3 and season infinity after that. I think this world is extremely rich, and there are many stories to be told on the streets of New York.
It's certainly something very fundamental to Marvel, going back to the earliest days of publishing with Stan and Jack and Steve and the original Marvel bullpen. It's New York through New York, and the fact that we're able to shoot here and tell a story about New York made by New Yorkers is just fundamental to the series.
According to Winderbaum, Daredevil: Born Again might return to the MCU's more realistic, street-level side as an annual release. The series would also further connect the MCU to its New York origins.
